“Twice as Nice” is a game in which the contestant wins $200, and can additionally win up to $100 for the local charity of their choice. Listeners must register to play, and will select the charity they will “play for” at the time of their registration. When the contest begins on the specified date, a listener name will be drawn and announced at random times throughout the specified daily time-frames. When a listener’s name is announced, that person has 15 minutes to call the WGTY studios to claim their prize and begin playing “Twice as Nice” to win money for charity.
In addition, ALL entries (regardless of whether they are selected to play Twice as Nice) are entered to win one of five Bonus Cash amounts at the conclusion of the general contest. This is outlined below.
This contest shall have 3 main components, which will be outlined in the How to Play section of these official rules.

HOW TO REGISTER
Registration opens on 3/18/13, following the on-air announcement of the impending contest. Participation begins when WGTY receives an entry containing the required information. Entries will be accepted, by registering online at wgty.com. Alternatively, you may enter by writing to WGTY-TWICE AS NICE, PO Box 3179, Gettysburg PA, 17325. When writing, you must include the following: name, mailing address, age, phone number, and name of charity. You may also enter in person at the WGTY studios; located at 1560 Fairfield Road, Gettysburg PA (Mon-Fri, 9am to 4pm, Excluding Holidays). WGTY will not be held liable for any entries that are not delivered, due to failure by the post office or any other shipping entity. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void where prohibited. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received and the number of listeners at any given time and are thus indeterminate. Limit one entry per person. Submitting more than one entry for the same person, will disqualify the registrant from all winning aspects of this contest. The normal “30-day” rule does not apply to this contest, meaning you may be allowed to win in one other separate contest within 30 days. No person shall be allowed to play this specific contest more than once.
HOW TO PLAY
On the average of 3 times-daily, Mon-Fri 6am-7pm (EST/EDT), WGTY will select a name at random among ALL entries received and announce it on the air. Each contestant whose name is announced shall have 15 minutes from the time of the FIRST announcement of their name to call 1-800-366-9489 or 717-334-9489, and win the instant cash prize of $200. In the event that multiple individuals with the same name call in within the allotted time period, only that individual who can be verified by a home address, which identically matches the information on the randomly-drawn entry, shall be declared the winner. At the moment that a person’s name is called out on the air to call back and participate, that will count as their game play in the contest. From this point, they will be ineligible to play this contest during it’s remaining duration as it pertains to the initial on-air play. All registrations, regardless of whether they go on to win on-air, will be entered and eligible for the “Bonus Cash” outlined below. Calls to any other phone number will not be accepted. Additional contest hours or alternate ways to win may be announced at any time on WGTY.
-TWICE AS NICE GAME
Upon winning the initial $200 prize, the caller will then be able to play the game to win up to $100 for the charity of their choice. The contestant will be given up to 4 trivia questions in varying subjects. Each correct answer given is worth $25 for their designated charity.
During the contest, all money that is not won during the playing of “Twice is Nice” will be put aside as “bonus cash”. For example, if a contestant only wins $75 for any given charity during their contest play, $25 would be placed into the bonus cash. That money will join the amount of $2,000 which will be initially placed into the bonus cash. At the end of the contest, 5 entries will be randomly selected from all of those received. The "bonus cash" will then be divided amongst those 5 people, equally.
Each person who enters this contest using any of the methods outlined in the “how to register” section above, is eligible to be named one of the five bonus cash winners at the end of the contest. If a person’s name is never selected to play the on-air Twice as Nice game, they are still eligible to have their name drawn for bonus cash. Likewise, if a person’s name is selected to play and they win their $200 instant prize as a result, they are also still eligible to have their name drawn for bonus cash.
During Kim & Scott in the Morning on 5.13.13, the hosts will announce the winners of the bonus cash prizes.
WGTY disclaims any responsibility for the inability to complete a telephone call within the allotted time periods, whether due to telephone equipment malfunction, busy lines, or otherwise. Winners will be solely responsible for reporting and paying taxes on prizes wherever applicable and will be issued an IRS Form 1099 for any yearly prize totals with a value of $500 or more. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged. WGTY reserves the right to disqualify any participant if all contest rules are not followed. Each participant, by virtue of participation in the contest, agrees to be bound by the decisions of WGTY and accept them as final.
